  • The Struggle To Un-Love Ex-Sins

    Presented by Chad Bird
    Saturday, September 12, 2015
    4:00pm – 7:00pm
McKinney Performing Arts Center, Ruschhaupt Hall
    (historic downtown courthouse)

Journeys that begin in brokenness rarely follow a straight course toward healing. It is an uphill trek on winding trails illumined with sporadic winks of light. The heart wrestles to free itself from past loves that are also past hates. We limp toward healing. The struggle to un-love ex-sins is a long, blessed, torturous liberation from lies that we once embraced as truths. Along the way, we deal with denial, anger at God, addiction to grief, and much more. We learn about our own identity and the God against whom we rebel, rail, and eventually embrace as the only true source of healing.

Tickets cost $7 each. Seating is limited. Open to the public. Coffee and water will be provided.

  • Teaching the Faith

OSL online resource center for “Teaching the Faith” is now available!  You can learn more about this tool and resource for you and your family by visiting the OSL website.  You will see a tab, at the top, that says “Teaching the Faith.”  Click this and you will be onto a wonderful new resource.  We will continue to update this and keep it current.  This is something we will be sharing with folks beyond our parish.  We pray that it will begin to bless all faith teachers in the home, at work, at school, and at church.  Please take some time to explore this resource.

Thanks for stopping by. Hopefully you'll find what you're looking for, though this site is very much like our church - a work in progress. We're a community of people walking together into the adventure of following Jesus. We'd love for you to walk with us.
