Keeping Our Eyes on Eternity

Our vision at OSL is to “Walk People into the Incredible Adventure of Following Jesus," and to equip others to pass the faith handed to us on to future generations.
A significant way we will do that is through the OSL Prayer Garden and Columbarium.
Far from merely a pretty space, or just another option for final repose, we believe this ministry fulfills our vision by offering people, both who are part of our church family and visitors outside OSL, a way to experience the eternal, to step outside the noise and busy-ness of our day-to-day to get a sense both of the temporalness of this life and the hope we have that one day Eden will be restored and we'll walk with our Savior once again.

THE OSL PRAYER GARDEN
In the midst of the demands of this world, the OSL Prayer Garden is intended to be a peaceful place to keep our eyes on Christ. Our vision is to provide a glimpse of what it might have been like for Adam and Eve to walk and talk with the Lord in the Garden; to renew hope, and refocus on the eternal.
We need your participation to create and maintain that experience. If you and your family would like more information on how you can contribute to refurbishing the Prayer Garden and building the Columbarium at OSL, we'd love to talk!
THE OSL COLUMBARIUM
The OSL Columbarium will be a permanent structure with niches holding the urns containing the ashes of members of our faith family. Within the OSL Prayer Garden, this will be a silent, visible reminder of the unshakeable future hope of those saints at OSL who have gone before us.
As the writer of Hebrews described in Heb 12:1
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
If you would like more information on reserving a niche in the Columbarium, as a part of the silent, visible testimony to future generations of your hope in the promised resurrection at Christ's return, please get in touch with us!
