Day 1: Finding True North When We Have Questions
Bible Point:
When we wonder, we can trust Jesus.

Bible Story:
John the Baptist prepares the way and baptizes Jesus (Matthew 3; 11:1-6)

DAY 1 at OSL's True North VBS was a huge success. We hope your kiddos had as much fun as we did, learning that "when we wonder, we can trust Jesus!" You should ask them their favorite part of today, and see if they remember the motions to today's Bible verse: “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise.” (Matthew 7:24)
Want a peek at all the fun from today? Check out Pastor Bray's special recap video from today's Alaskan Adventure! All the areas of our VBS decor are inspired by real places in Alaska. Everything from Orca whales, waterfalls, national forests, ice caves, campgrounds, mountains, and more! Alaska has so many of God's incredible creations. One decor inspiration in particular is the Easter Totem and the Christmas Totem in Anchorage, Alaska. Totems read from bottom to top and since ours our short, ours read from bottom to top but on two pillars. These Totems actually tell the Gospel story! Stop by there tomorrow with your kiddos and grab a handout to walk through the story together. Enjoy!

A few REMINDERS for tomorrow:
- Is tomorrow your second day at VBS?
Great! No need to stop at the tables in the lobby. Just take your child straight to their crew leader in the sanctuary. Please be sure to sign your child in and out each day with their crew leader. If someone different is picking them up, please write their name and contact number on the crew leader’s sign-in page. - Is tomorrow your first day at VBS?
Welcome! Stop by the Pre-Registered tables in the lobby to pick up your child's name tag & t-shirt, and get their crew assignment. - If you will please take your kiddos to the restroom before dropping them off in the morning, that would be great!! Several kids really didn’t want to miss opening but had to use the restroom. 😉
- We don’t want the kids to miss the fun and key messages during Opening. Thanks!
- If you pre-ordered a CD, please stop by the table to make payment ($7) and pick up the CD. Extra CDs are available to purchase. They are sold at cost.
- This year's mission project is The Bucket Ministry. Check out the flyer attached for more details about this wonderful ministry.

Day 3: When We Are Weak, He is Strong

When we feel powerless, we can trust Jesus.

"Don't be afraid," He said, "Take courage. I am here!" (Matthew 14:27)

A Roman officer trusts Jesus. (Matthew 8:5-13)
Day 4: When We Need Hope, We Can Trust Jesus

When we need hope, we can trust Jesus

"And His Name will be the hope of all the world." (Matthew 12:21)

Jesus dies and comes back to life
